That leads straight to the strange contradiction 
that the same electric technology creates 
separatism in countries. Not because it takes out 
the walls between countries or areas, but because it 
enables any area however remote to have all the 
resources and all the information that previously 
existed only in the most central and highly privileged 
areas. Any remote part of the globe can now know 
anything that anybody in New York knows. But in
